I have a pair of sunglasses that need some repairs. The plastic frame is cracked. There are light scratches on the lenses/anti-reflective coating. Can things like this be repaired? Many thanks in advance.
I think even if you get it repaired, the protection efficiency would decrease. I would suggest you to go for new pair of designer sunglasses, preferably buy from online stores where you can get them cheap instead of investing lot of money in repair.
What brand/model sunglasses are they? How much did they cost ya? Do they have any sentimental value?
Of course they can be repaired... either through a sunglass store (Sunglass Hut, etc) or by the manufacturer. The real question is if the repair cost justifies the value of the sunglasses themselves.
i think it can be, try returning them where you bought them, and ask for some repair so the lenses will be good and not bad when fixed. and they knew more what to do with those.
If this pair have any sentimental value, you can repair and keep.
otherwise, advise you can buy a new pair! the new one will fashion and good for eyes!
If the lenses are in good condition, you may just change the frame. However, you mentioned that there are light scratches on the lenses/anti-reflective coating. You can not see clear through these lenses and it is bad for your eye health. So buy a new pair for yourself
