An anti reflective lenses coating is a type of optical coating applied to the surface of lenses and other optical devices to reduce reflection while polarized lenses are used in sunglasses to reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as the surface of a lake or the hood of a car.

Anti-reflective lenses are lenses that have coating on the lens to keep eyes protected from direct reflection whereas polarized lenses reduce reflection from the surface.
