Look for shade - keep you in complete shade: under trees, umbrellas, canopies or indoors. Everyone should avoid direct sun between 11 am and 4 pm.
Cover up - when outdoors, protect skin with loose clothes, and a hat with a wide brim to shade the face, neck, and ears.
Wear Designer sunglasses (http://www.go-sunglasses.com) - use wraparound Designer sunglasses (http://www.go-sunglasses.com) for you to protect their eyes from the sun's rays from all angles. Designer sunglasses (http://www.go-sunglasses.com) do not have to cost a lot, but they should protect against UVA and UVB. Start young - make it a habit!
Use sunscreen - use a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more for you over 6 months of age. Choose a brand for you. Put sunscreen on areas that cannot be covered by clothing, such as the face, ears, feet and backs of hands. Apply generously, at least every two hours. Remember to apply after swimming. Always follow directions on sunscreen bottles.
Keep you cool - limit the amount of time you are outdoors. Keep you with you when you are outside on hot days. Check them often to see if they are sweating, have hot, red skin, and are fussy.
