View Full Version : remove label mark from glasses?

i just bought a new pair of sunglasses and it has the designer written on the lense in the corner. it is a white material and its hard to scrape off. is there any way to remove it?

You can try windex, or some rubbing alcohol. If you have any glasses cleaner that they sell at eyeglass stores laying around, try that.

I wouldn't use windex. In fact, I'd advise not to. Depending on your lens, it can ruin it.
Also, is the logo on the lens bothering your view?

omni's right, I'd definitely avoid using Windex on your sunglasses, it can ruin polarized/anti-reflective coated lenses over time... you'll probably need something stronger than Windex/standard rubbing alcohol to remove the label anyways, say, acetone or 99% rubbing alcohol, in conjunction with some elbow grease. Still, there's a good chance you'll damage your lenses doing that, so I wouldn't do it.

Why would you want to remove the brand name anyways, LOL? Defeats the purpose of buying designer sunglasses, might as well buy some lookalikes!

i think there's no possible way, it can only affect the nice image of the sunglasses if its remove, so better not do it.

Yes, Rubbing alcohol might be remove it . Still you can ask to the any shopekeeper of sunglasses , they can help you.

i would suggest using a lense cleaning solution if that doesnt work you can use an ahesive remover pen from 3m.
