3. Hamilton Heights (9-3, 6-1 Mid-Indiana Conference last season):
Jason Simmons' first season as coach was a success, as the Huskies notched conference and sectional titles. Better days could be ahead with six starters back on offense and seven on defense. Senior quarterback Tanner Stis (834 passing yards, 12 touchdowns) triggers the offense and junior Logan Cunningham is a versatile running back. A strong defense last year brings back stalwart senior linebackers Nathan Pickett and Brock Bolden.4. Brebeuf Jesuit (10-2 last season):
Coach Ryan Gallogly has turned around the Brebeuf program in short order, compiling a 26-8 record in three years. Last season ended with a competitive 21-7 loss to Chatard in the sectional championship. Just nine starters return, but three are along the offensive line (Nate Carney, Jon Toth and Jim Perry); another is tight end J.D. Robinson. Junior linebacker Justin Klausner, the leading tackler last season, google (http://www.google.com), anchors the defense. Erich Toth is one of the area's top kickers.5. Danville (2-8, 2-5 Sagamore Conference last season):
Offense was a concern last season as the Warriors didn't score more than 14 points in a game. Terry Siddall's team should be more explosive in 2010 as seven offensive starters return. Senior Jon Pedigo started at quarterback last season and junior Nick Thurston is an experienced running back. Senior linebacker Logan Cooper leads a defense that also brings back seven starters.
