I was looking at picking up some new Raybans and I came across two identical sunglasses, except one was plated gold and the other was solid. Price difference was $180 versus $450, respectively. How long does the plating on Raybans last? Is it worth it to buy solid? And is there any way to refinish the glasses if the plating wears off? I dont want to look like a cheapass, ya know! :D
