Wayfarer hinge repair

Hi all,

I recently was camping and my wayfarer's arms managed to rotate at the hinge, leaving the arm rotated about 15 degrees. It's noticeable when I'm wearing them, and is also frustrating because when I try to close them the arm bends down significantly (since the hinge is twisted). I'm thinking about removing the screw on that arm and using a pair of pliers to try to reshape it. Would that be a bad idea? Thanks in advance!
