Adjustment with a hot air frame warmer

I own a pair of Persol 2958s and I LOVE them. However, they don't quite fit as sung since I lost weight. I read that they could fit them differently behind my ears with a frame warmer. Does anyone know if this is a good option to prevent them from slipping? Also should I do it anywhere? I know they have one at my local Sunglass Hut but I don't trust all the employees there.
