Default why sunglasses?

Hey everyone, Im doing a university project on sunglasses where we are being asked to design a new designer pair of sunglasses. Im trying to contact people who are serious about sunglasses to understand what it is that drives you to buy them and so on. Personally I dont own any so its difficult to understand, thanks

I don't owe a pair either. Because I'm wearing prescription eyeglasses, I don't want to have the lenses tinted. And I don't think it is good for our eyes to look through colored lenses.

It doesn't really appear that sunglasses designers chance the designs of sunglasses very much. I usually see sunglasses that are revisions of older designs from decades ago. For example, there is a lot of sunglasses coming out that are reusing old designs for the early 90s. I prefer a pair of sunglasses that are prescription because I can't see without my glasses on and don't wear contact lenses.
