Fady,
Yes, there are a lot of near-perfect counterfeits flooding in from China (albeit the "higher end" fakes also cost more $, which defeats the purpose). I have first-hand seen a handful of fake Ray Bans with the RB etching and every other security aspect of the sunglass reproduced and barely differentiable from the real thing.
If you want a special occasion sunglass, personally, that's where I think counterfeits come in, especially if you're not sure they're your style. But if you want a daily beater, or something that will be spending most of its time being used, then you'll definitely need the real deal as just after only a few wears, the fake sunglasses will literally start to fall apart (starting with the nose pieces, then the frame hinges, etc).
Hopefully the Wayfarer that you bought is a genuine real deal, especially if you paid a pretty penny... may I ask which vendor or whom you purchased it from?

I bought it from a guy whom is claiming that they are defected raybans and that's why they are cheap, "less weight, wrong printing fonts, scratched" that what he said, in other words, didn't pass Rayban quality checks!
I paid like $60 for it! what do u think about that price in case they were fake?
another important question for me? does those high end replicas you talked about have UV protection as well?
Another thing, while he was showing me an aviator I was about to buy, the nose piece latterly fall of!!
that's why I started to suspect the whole deal! and bought only 1! that i'm more concerned now about it's safety to use in the sun if it doesn't have UV protection
another thing, can a fake have polarized lenses? it's easy for me to detect if the lenses are actually polarized or not!

I understand your concern, why not try http://fairoptical.com
I bought once before, it has highest quality replica sunglasses include the UV protection function required by you.
