Trying to find older pair of Raybans sold in 2001 timeframe
I am new to this forum and this is my first posting. I have tried all other options and this is my last resort. Back in 2001 I bought my first pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Until that point I generally bought $1 cheap sunglasses. So I went to a Sunglass Hut in my local mall and found a pair of Ray Bans that I REALLY LOVED! About 4 months later they broke while I was playing volleyball and to my disgust I went back to the $1 pairs of sunglasses. Well, now I am feed up with those cheap glasses and I want another pair of those Ray Ban's. Needless to say you can guess why I am here, I haven't been able to find any. I had no idea that sunglass styles change more often than computer technology. I do not have the glasses anymore, hence I do not have the style or any information that would aid my search. In my searching I have found that they resemble the 4093 style simply because of the wide arm legs. I also believe the lenses also matched that same style. The second feature I remember, and this was what first caught my eye, was a triangle shaped metal trim piece at the top corner of frame where the arms attached. It was the same width as the arms and covered that area of the frame. I know that isn't much and when I called Ray Ban they could not call up any records of previously styles so that I could pick out from a list of pictures. I even called Sunglass Hut, but they did not have my purchase records that far back. I even called Luxotica and they could'nt help me. That has led me here for help, if possible. I know it has been a long time, but with Ebay and Amazon if I could get enough information like a style number, something I could at least try to do a more detailed search. Please if someone can help me I would be most gratefull.
