Default Tom Ford distributor refuse to honor warranty

Helo. I bought a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses less than a year ago. These sunglasses broke just by putting them on my head. They split at the top left.

I would just like to let everyone know that the distributor for this company refuses to honor their warranty. Here is an e-mail from their distributor. These glasses were purchases for well over $150 from Saks Fifth - Off Fifth. At not times was I told that these glasses are as is and neither does Marcolins website state this. Marcolin is the distributor for Tom Ford. (http://www.marcolinusa.com/).

This company needs to boycotted.

Dear XXX,
I'm sorry to hear about the problem that occurred with your Tom Ford sunglasses. Unfortunately our warranty does not cover items purchased at discounted prices at outlet dealers. I'd suggest going to an optician to see if it's something that they can repair for you.
I apologize that we are not able to help you.
Sincerely,
Gail Steiner

Ridiculous! If their sunglasses are marketed to include a warranty, then they MUST honor their warranty, regardless of where the sunglasses were purchased! Sounds like a BS excuse to me... I suggest replying to the email and mention that you intend to escalate the situation, by either contacting higher management, grabbing press/media attention (let us know if they still fail to warranty their sunglasses, and I'll get you some attention), or filing a BBB (Better Business Bureau) complaint and possibly getting the law involved.

Sounds like a poorly-managed company to me, with sub-par business ethics and a complete lack of concern for their customers and, likewise, post-sale support. Failure to fulfill an advertised warranty is not only unethical, but also, ILLEGAL. Let us know what's going on with this situation, I'm really interested to know where this leads and how they are handling your warranty.

As Marcolin write then it is not their job to handle guarantee matters! You should contact the seller and then the seller contact Marcolin. Thats how it is and how it has been in many years!
Marcolin cant even see if the sunglasses are authentic or bought from an official seller.

So stop crying and contact the seller instead

Why dont you study the rules or laws before you claim that a company is ruled bad? They have follow the normale procedure and you want tu sue them?
Come on try to be serious and help the person who started this tread instead of making a campaign against a legal and serious company!

Marcolin destination so it is not their occupation to secure the handle business! You should contact the marketing manager, please contact the seller Marcolin. The way it is and how it has been for ten years! Can not Marcolin, but dark glasses are real or purchased from an official vendor.
