1 advantage to buying sunglasses in-store

I want to buy the ray-ban new wayfarers and sunglass but told me that if I buy it from them they can heat/melt the plastic so that the sunglasses better fit my face. I personally found the sunglasses to fit fine. They're $175 in-store but just about $120 on amazon. Is it really worth paying over $50 more to buy from a store so they an 'fit' the sunglasses to your face better?
